Thanks to Pet Rock we were able to provide 227 5th and 6th grade classrooms with KIND News, an award-winning newspaper for elementary students in the Worcester area last year, and proceeds from Pet Rock 2008 will continue KIND News in the classroom. The newspaper teaches responsible pet care, introduces why spaying and neutering is important, and opens minds to respect and appreciate animals of all kinds.

On behalf of Humane Society Youth, we thank Charlene, the Pet Rock organizers, and all the festival-goers who care about animals. The community will be kinder because of this event. You rock! (and the veg food selections did too!)
