I really wish I would have read these postings before I bought my beutifull yellow lab two weeks ago. My poor puppy is so sick right now. He has been diagnosed with kennel cough and he is getting worse instead of better. I am just thankfull he is not there anymore.I should have known something was not right because when we went in to see our puppy we expected to be brought back where the puppies were kept but instead they brought the two labs out that we fell in love with on line. We played with them in the front yard before we purchased the sweet little guy.I am so upset and fearfull that this sweet animal will not make it. I brought him to the vet and he has been put on an antibiotic but he really is not responding to it the way he should be. Please somebody save these animals from these money hungry hartless people.

I am SO SORRY to hear that that has happened to you and your dear puppy. It IS going to keep on happening UNLESS YOU or SOMEONE can make a formal complaint against them with the MSPCA!!!! Please DO read my post before yours. Just complaining to each other (and I haven't been there personally) isn't going to help. I sure hope your precious little puppy does finally respond to treatment!

If anyone out there w/ DIRECT knowledge of what these people are getting away with, and your precious puppy doesn't make it, he will have died in vain!!!!

We bought a pug puppy at Laughlin on 7/14/08, and sadly have experienced the same experience as RLDennis and others. He was fine for 2 days and then became very sick with a cough and congestion. He was on one antibiotic for a week for kennel cough and then was diagnosed with pneumonia. He will not eat or drink on his own, we have to feed him high calorie food and water through a syringe. The poor little guy, it is breaking my heart.
I wish that I had read your comments before I got him, but on the other hand, we feel that we may have saved him by getting him when we did so we could give him the care he needs to get better, just as some of the other people have commented. We are close to $1000 in Vet bills for xrays, antibiotics and multiple visits in the 2 weeks we have had him.
If you are one of the people whose puppy had pneumonia and you read this after 7/31/08, please post a note as to how your puppy is doing. We are 7 days into a 21 day course of antibiotics. I hope your puppies recovered, I am praying for mine and yours!

If there could be a a petition at the Festival for all to sign to stop these mills from being in Massachusetts?
You know? One that could be signed when you pay to get in to the festival? I know that myself & my family would sign it 100 times just to close these places down. I think if this would be done, then alot of people would actually go to a shelter to adopt.
There must be away to stop the madness?
