The first signature gathering stage is underway to help pass the Greyhound Protection Act. 50,000 more signatures are still needed by Nov. 19 to get the Act, which would phase out racing by 2008, on the ballot.

Stop by one of the MSPCA's seven Animal Care and Adoption Centers to sign your name, or email advocacy@mspca.org with your address, phone number and the number of petition sheets you would like to receive.
