FREE Info: Holistic Health & Nutrition- In honor of Holistic Health month, our staff has put together resources and information about products to enhance your pet’s well being holistically.

November 4-10 Celebrate National Shelter Appreciation Week! Stop by our Wayland store all week long to find out about the local shelters in your area that could use your donations and time as volunteers.

Massachusetts Rescue and Recovery K9 Unit (MARK9) Info Day-Volunteers from MARK9 will be here to offer a short presentation and meet people interested in what they do. Come on out and watch how one goes about training a SAR dog. Massachusetts Rescue and Recovery K9 Unit (MARK9) is a charitable, non-profit volunteer search and rescue (SAR) organization (501(c)(3) status pending) that is dedicated to the training of search dogs, handlers and support personnel in order to provide professional and highly-skilled canine teams in the event of an emergency response event. Upon request of law enforcement agencies and fire/rescue departments, MARK9 can provide trained search dog teams to assist in locating lost and missing people anywhere within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. MARK9 also will respond upon request to any location within the Greater New England area in situations where mutual aid is needed. MARK9 does not self-deploy but may call appropriate agencies within the Commonwealth to offer our services. All MARK9 members are required to have a minimum of Basic First Aid and CPR. Many members have additional training, such as EMTs and Paramedics. For more information, please call 617.775.7968.

MA Ferret Friends Meet & Greet- Meet some adorable and adoptable ferrets from this non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of the domestic ferret. MaFF was created soon after March 7th, 1996, the day on which owning a ferret in Massachusetts became legal. MaFF's mission is shelter, education and outreach.

If so, come and meet the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s world-renowned animal behaviorist, Dr. Amy Marder, and be sure to bring your pet along as well. Goodie bags will be given to the first 25 attendees including half price tickets to the Bay Colony Dog Show December 6 & 7! We’ll have free samples, refreshments and our favorite staff picks on the best in training tools. This is a FREE event and pre-registration is not required.

Boxer Buddies Meet & Greet- Volunteers will be here from this non-profit Boxer Dog Rescue Organization which is dedicated to rescuing Boxers in need. They provide foster homes, rescue education, adoption information, and much more to Boxers, Boxer lovers, and also to those who can no longer care for their dogs. All Saturdays from 10am-2pm- Dog Nail Trims –Please call ahead. $5 donation to MARK9.
