  • 2 p.m. The Dog Contest- prizes provided by Mountain Dog Leashes
  • 2 p.m. Best Ears
  • 2:15 p.m. Owner-Dog Look Alike
  • 2:30 p.m. Waggiest Tail
  • 2:45 p.m. Best Vocalist

4 p.m. Drawing for the two lottery winners (each receiving $500 from Pet Rock)

AT THE INFORMATION/RAFFLE TENT

Cat Photo Contest sponsored by the Pet Barn, ribbons and winners posted at the start of the festival, as this year, the contest is pre-judged by representatives from the Pet Barn. Please leave your cat photos up for all to see through the end of the event. If you cannot wait until the end, we will mail the photo back to you. Winners receive gifts from the Pet Barn, as well as photos posted on the Web site and Pet Barn locations!  Enter the contest by printing out a form here, or visiting The Pet Barn. First place winners receive $25 gift card plus a prize, second place winners receive a $15 plus a prize, and third place receives a $10 gift card plus a prize. Pick up forms at the Pet Barn on on THIS SITE.

MORE ONGOING ACTIVITIES


Kind Kids Tent, which includes face painting, crafts and games. This area will also feature various children's inflatable rides, as well as Clifford The Big Red Dog, and chances to win copies of the Deluxe Anniversary Version of Clifford the Big Red Dog

The Vegetarian Food Court is back, hosted by the Boston Vegetarian Society. This food court, which is in addition to our standard vendors that serve fried dough, fries, pizza and wraps, includes vendors TBA. This year, as with years past and forever more, don’t look for meat at this festival. Think about it, folks. We’re loving animals today.  

Live music and announcements take place throughout the day on the "Music Stage.

"The Doggie Water Park - Cool your pooch in our pools and sprinklers, as well as let them have a drink. Sponsored by Hitchcock Pool Water of Charlton.

The Kind Kids tent features various children's activities led by Donna Vayo, including face painting and crafts - located near the Doggie Water Park. Also, Clifford the Big Red Dog hangs at his "doghouse."

Ask-the-vet table, free rabies clinic and low-cost microchipping sponsored by VCA. This rabies clinic is limited to two pets per family. Also, cats must be in carriers and all must pay admission to the event to take part in the clinic.

Book Nook Sponsored by Booklovers' Gourmet - 20 percent of sales of animal themed books benefits Pet Rock.
