Voting to Keep Rental Pets Out of Massachusetts Print
Boston City Councilors voted to pass an ordinance to keep pet rental companies out of Boston. But action is still needed to encourage the passage of this piece of legislation, which would prohibit pet rentals statewide. The bill is currently sitting on a vote in the House. Contact your representative today and urge him or her to follow Boston’s lead in protecting pets.   The bill would prohibit the practice of renting pets in Massachusetts, which is what companies such as FlexPetz, are hoping to do. The idea of this company coming to Boston prompted concern from many who care about animals.  The bill will be voted on before July 31.
