Eight-Week-Old Kitten Burned in Springfield Print

There's something remarkably disturbed about anyone who would do this. And it is this that makes Pet Rock want to fight and educate....

The MSPCA is caring for stray kitten now named Nicholas, who was found still smoldering as he wandered the Hungry Hill neighborhood of Springfield. The MSPCA Law Enforcement department is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible in this alleged cruelty case.

Nicholas was rescued by a good samaritan who found him in the road in pain, smoke still rising from his fur. He was taken immediately to the MSPCA-Western New England Animal Care and Adoption Center for medical treatment. Nicholas suffers from burns to his face, including his ears and tongue. Fur all over his body was singed, and his whiskers have been burned off.

Anyone with information should call 800-628-5808. Donations are being accepted to care for Nicholas, as well.

Speak up for those who cannot.
