About a year ago, I stumbled across a website calle Shady Meadows Gun Dogs. Located in Missouri, the kennel breeds hunting dogs, and sells them through networks, including its website. Needless to say, Pet Rock is opposed to such things, so I emailed the owner and expressed my feelings. We ping ponged a few choice words and it ended there. Today, I most certainly mistakenly ended up on an email list touting the fact that they're trying to get rid of some dogs - a "going out of business sale," if you will. I told him I found his business to be a disgrace in the most tactful way possible. Here was his response: I don’t know how you ended up in my address book either. I don’t usually have dealings with the tragically ignorant. Sorry I stepped into your misguided world somehow. It always amazes me how short sighted your type of people are. You make stupid statements yet don’t even realize that the quality and level of ability of dogs that we work with are by no means “millions of unwanted”. You are referring to neglected and unwanted dogs. Not dogs that people prize and pay large amounts of money for the training and abilities that we teach our dogs. Then again, people like yourself are really nothing more than the same class. Just unwanted degenerates on society that there are far too many of.
